How many apps are loading on your storefront — and which ones are still wired the old way?

We request your storefront the way a shopper's browser does and read the fingerprints it leaves behind: which apps are loading, which jobs you are paying two apps to do, and which integrations still lean on checkout.liquid, the Order status page, or Additional scripts.

Based on publicly available data only. Informational, not legal advice.

What this checks

  • Which apps are actually loading on your home, product and cart pages, and what each one does
  • Two apps doing the same job — two review widgets, two popup tools — i.e. a bill you are paying twice
  • checkout.liquid / Order-status-page code still visible in your theme's scripts
  • Whether Shopify Web Pixels are registered, and how many are app pixels vs. your own Custom Pixel
  • Ad and analytics pixels hardcoded into the theme, which never see a checkout or purchase event
  • App code pasted into theme asset files instead of loaded as an app embed — the part that survives an uninstall
  • Widget markup left behind by an app whose script is no longer loading

FAQ

How do you know which apps I have installed?
By fingerprint, not from your bill — we match script URLs, stylesheet URLs and inline code on your public pages against a list of known app vendors. We never see your Shopify admin or your billing. An app that only runs in the admin, only inside checkout, or only on a page we did not fetch will not show up here.
Why does the checkout section say 'could not tell'?
Because your checkout and Order status pages need a real order to reach, and we scan only public storefront pages without executing JavaScript. So we report what is visible in the theme's own scripts and mark the rest unknown. We would rather say we could not look than tell you a checkout is clean when nobody opened it.
Are the deadlines you quote real?
Yes, and they are Shopify's published checkout.liquid deprecation dates: 13 August 2024 for the Information, Shipping and Payment steps, and 28 August 2025 for the Thank you and Order status pages. Both have passed. We do not invent dates — when we are unsure whether a specific app is affected, we say so and ask you to check the app's own settings.
